We are a major supplier of proprietary property risk software to the mortgage survey and valuation market and wider UK lending community. The vast majority of mortgages approved in the UK today are supported by the software we develop, and our clients are some of the largest residential surveying firms. The integrated solutions help to streamline operations, enhance productivity, enable smarter decision making and mitigate property-related risk.
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will develop a deep understanding of company products and requirements to support customers and give them confidence in service delivery. As part of the role, you will be engaged face-to-face with internal stakeholders to clarify customer requirements and ensure an excellent experience throughout the software development lifecycle
Work with our internal project team to clarify customer requirements
Where required work directly with out external customer to determine their requirements.
Lead design sessions for new systems or new functionality with internal and external teams.
Produce both business and logical systems design, based on agreed requirement and design sessions. Ensuring that the new functionality integrates with the existing systems.
Create and manage high quality work items based on the agreed designs; including Epics and Features through to more granular user stories and bugs.
Lead internal meetings to review designs and clarify the technical approach.
Manage key stakeholders throughout the business to understand, document and take a lead in driving the design, development, delivery, and support of functionality.
Lead various meetings with the development and testing teams including daily stand-ups and weekly Backlog Refinement, Planning sessions and Retrospectives.
Work with the Development and Testing Teams to ensure the work is completed within the agreed timescales.
Support the development and testing teams throughout the development lifecycle providing a point of contact for managing any queries and obtaining requirement answers/confirmation.
Manage the development backlogs to ensure required functionality is delivered.
Manage the development backlogs to ensure the priorities are clearly stated and correct.
Liaise with our DevOps and Customer facing teams to support with the co-ordination of software releases.
Develop technical documentation materials to support customers in on boarding and on-going use of the software products, such as release notes, user guides and technical documentation.
Take responsibility for third line support for customer issues.
Co-ordinate and perform product demos to stakeholders.
Participate in thought leadership, and customer initiatives with respect to assigned products.
Experience working in a Business Systems Analyst Role or similar.
Strong internal stakeholder management skills.
Ability to act as a primary liaison between multiple development and testing teams.
Experience managing and working with Product Backlogs within a requirements management software platform.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
Good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Working knowledge of an Agile environment would be beneficial.
Good analytical and presentational skills (written and verbal)
Knowledge of Azure DevOps/TFS would be useful.
Ideally some commercial experience in the markets we operate in (Mortgage Finance, Property Surveying, Residential Estate Agency, Insurance and Energy Assessment).
Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar flowchart software
