Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client who currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Developer to join their Domestic Sales Team.
Working as part of the Domestic team, this challenging position requires an energetic and driven individual with well-developed interpersonal skills.
The primary function of the Domestic Business Developer is to drive customer growth in the domestic central heating sector across the Northern Region of Ireland. Mainly Northern Ireland and County Donegal
The successful candidate will develop relationships with key stakeholders (industry partners, installers, architects, builders, merchants etc.) across the region and will work collaboratively with the field-based Sales Representatives and the Internal Sales Team to ensure the growth of the domestic central heating sector.
The successful candidate will work within the following region (which may change from time to time subject to business needs): Northern Ireland and County Donegal.
Develop new domestic business through effective specifier management, territory planning and lead generation
Foster, develop and drive strategic relationships with key stakeholders (industry partners, installers, architects, builders, merchants etc.) to raise brand awareness, increase in-territory referrals, and to deliver domestic growth within the region
The implementation of a robust and dynamic Strategic Area Plan (SAP) to deliver on the targeted performance as set out in the KPIs
Apply a consultative selling approach, identifying customer`s needs and how to best address them
Represent company in a professional manner, networking at industry events to promote the company brand and products
Liaise with various in-house departments on an on-going basis to ensure effective and seamless sales optimisation and customer creation
Utilize relevant IT systems (CRM) for reporting and analysis as required by the role
Attend and actively participate in team meetings
Build strong connections with internal colleagues to provide a customer centric approach
Maintain a strong understanding of company products and services
Market awareness, keeping up to date with domestic and home energy trends and market dynamics
Contribute to the company safety culture by always acting in a safe and responsible manner
This role will have elements of flexible working; evening and weekend hours may be required
Any other duties as deemed reasonable by management
Ideally a minimum of five years in domestic heating or technical sales, consultative sales, construction industry or a customer facing role
Adaptable, self-driven and team-oriented
Excellent communication and IT skills
Full clean driving license
Experience within the energy industry or domestic central heating sector would be an advantage
Territory may be subject to review based on business requirements.
Salary will depend on experience - up to 40k per - the job comes with a company vehicle
