Our central Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) capability is the hub of the wheel, pulling together an end-to-end view of our tech, driving out best practice and ensuring we're always ready for key trading events.
The SRE team delivers numerous services to wider ASOS, including:
Central SRE tooling;
Supporting our engineering teams in building reliability into their applications
Enterprise level Observability Dashboards; and
Tactical SRE solutions - focused on removing toil and driving effective outputs.
We're looking for a Technical BA to join our SRE team, driving clarity on what is required from our technology solutions to satisfy the business needs of broader SRE and Operations strategy.
You'll analyse, sense check and document requirements and processes - thus helping SRE to prioritise deliveries to maximise business value. Your role will bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements on a range of complex, challenging and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Planning, coordinating and performing BA activities for your prioritised projects - i.e.:
Facilitating workshops to derive and gather high-level requirements and dependencies
Partnering with Solution Architects and Development teams to maintain on-going engagement and clarity of requirements throughout delivery, ensuring the solution is fit for purpose
Utilising Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc) to communicate and document clear, unambiguous functional and non-functional business requirements to agreed standards
Creating As-Is and To-Be views for systems and components, with an eye for both strategic and tactical outcomes
Creating End-to-end mapping for processes and data flows
Supporting SRE Engineers and Leads in planning the curation and backlog combing, ensuring requirements have been outlined and agreed prior to development work being started
Being proactive in flagging, escalating and owning the resolution of issues arising as they relate to the gathering or ratification of requirements or the health of the backlog/sprint
Maintaining the quality of Business Analysis within Infrastructure and Operations (I&O), supporting fellow BAs aligned with I&O to constantly improve Business Analysis practice
We'd like to meet someone with: We're looking for a tenacious and proactive individual, who loves delivering in a collaborative team environment. They'll have a background in Technology, with a developed skillset and strong experience around Business Analysis.Ideally you'll have: Agility - able to deliver at pace in a constantly changing environment
Operations and Tech Expertise - a passion for Technology and Operations, and a strong technical instinct
Project Delivery and Tooling Experience - working within an Agile project delivery environment, utilising process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, OmniGraffle)., Proficient using Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Perspective - seeing business problems as challenges to solve from an enterprise-wide, holistic perspective
Communication - excellent stakeholder management skills and a transparent communication style, able to ask the difficult questions and visualise ideas and processes
Openness - Able to mentor more junior members of the team, helping to further encourage a culture of knowledge and information sharing within the SRE team
