An excellent opportunity to study business admin within a busy medical practice environment, gaining the knowledge required to work in a successful GP Practice, dealing with all areas of the centre and supporting Partners, Staff and patients.

Role and Responsibilities
File and store records as required
Photocopy documentation as required
Action all incoming faxes, emails and mail in a timely manner
Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare records (training will be provided)
Input data into the patients healthcare records as required
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers in person appropriately
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
Comply with the practice’s policies and procedures relating to health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
Be aware of and support difference and equal opportunities for all
Contribute to the overall ethos work aims of the practice
Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required (online Blue Stream training)
Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post
Maintain absolute confidentiality about all patients information.
Required Skills
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above) or equivalent
Familiarity with using a computer
Required Qualifications
Maths, English and ICT, GCSE Grade 4-9 or equivalent
Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
Maths & English level 2 if not already achieved.
Appts with apprentice, employer & provider, observations of workplace as well as gathering evidence.
Undertake self-assessment in last month of apprenticeship. The self-assessment must be submitted to the end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project, employer reference & interview about the portfolio and project.
