To build on our success within the insurance industry, we are now looking for an insurance SME to join our team as a Business Consultant.
Our Business Consultants come from operational roles and bring their subject matter expertise to AutoRek. Working closely across the business, particularly with our sales and professional services teams, you will support introductory discussions and demonstrations to our future insurance customers and assist in the build and delivery of product demos and proof of concepts. Using your in-depth knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, you will play a vital role in translating client business requirements into an AutoRek solution ensuring we deliver for the customer. In addition, as a SME you will identify and design new propositions in an ever-changing market, produce thought leading content to be shared with our target markets and present on a regular basis at marketing events.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver presentations, product demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) to Directors, VPs, and C-level executives.
Provide Insurance specific process knowledge and technical expertise in the sales process (discovery calls and prospect meetings) in collaboration with sales team.
Identify and document clients’ business and functional requirements to facilitate effective solution design and communicate feedback back to product management team
Generating content in the form of informative whitepapers, blog posts and solution overviews relating to AutoRek and its insurance solutions.
Understand business and technical requirements addressed by the prospects including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, compliance etc.
Handing over new projects to the delivery team and coordinating with product management on any new features or enhancements identified during the presales process.
Lead the design of new insurance propositions for the market, taking these through from and initial idea, building a solution and taking to market.
Scoping and delivering of Proof of Concept/Proof of Concept engagements with prospects.
Supporting Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc.
Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
Document and communicate prospect feedback and new requirements to the product team.
Keep up to date with the new technologies introduced in the financial services.
What are we looking for?
Must haves
At least 5 years of experience in the insurance sector working in finance, operations, accounting, actuarial, IBA, or a similar role
Proven ability in gathering, understanding, and translating business requirements
Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to talk to different teams and levels within the organisation.
A strong working knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and how it operates.
Understanding of how back and middle office processes within the insurance industry operate.
Experienced in creating and maintaining client facing documents covering technical and business aspects as well as product features
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, both internally and externally
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team across multiple areas of the business
Nice to haves
Experience and understanding of the insurance market for SaaS software
Experience performing reconciliations in the insurance industry
Experience working in a technical accounting or operations role
An understanding of actuarial concepts and IFRS 17 standards
Experience in delivering high-quality demos and proof of concept
