The role
Integral is looking to recruit a Trainee Business Intelligence Analyst to work in the Business Intelligence Team.
The Trainee Business Intelligence Analyst will work as part of a small Business Intelligence Team to develop innovative analytical solutions that support the business to maximise compliance, increase productivity whilst minimising costs and maximising profit.
We have a fantastic environment for learning and as such the job holder will be expected to embrace the analyst community we have within JLLs wider Work Dynamics Business Intelligence team. We will provide on the job training, mentoring and coaching to support your professional development. We have structured gamification programmes to aid your Tableau, Alteryx and data visualisation skills development.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and have existing experience of creating data visualisation using large complex datasets using tools such as Excel.
The post holder will support the wider team in building effective analytical products. They will have a good eye for detail, solution driven and above all curious. You will work as part of Agile Sprint teams to support products developments from ideas to creative solutions, and provide project support as required.
As a Trainee Business Intelligence Analyst, you will also be required to support Tableau end user both internally and externally; basic training, user access, server administration. Training will be provided.
Day to day
Tableau Server Administration including user management and basic user support
Provide project support and administration for our large development projects liaising with each of the sprint team members and product owners
Develop basic Tableau dashboards and Alteryx flows following our development guidelines and data visualisation guidelines.
Adhoc analysis using the most appropriate technology; Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau etc
Complete daily data processes following standard operating procedures
Be an active member of the internal and external business intelligence communities to ensure continuous personal learning and knowledge sharing with other members of the team.
Actively participating in feedback to other analysts with respect to the development of new initiatives.
Creating and maintaining documentation to support all developments
Desirable Knowledge & Capabilities
Understanding of data visualisation best practice and analytical techniques.
Proven examples of having developed reports and data visualisations
Demonstrates an ability to learn new techniques and tools
Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written)
Customer Service understand the importance of customer service
Understanding of Agile Project Management methodology is desirable.
Skills and Experience
Advanced Excel skills
SQL skills desirable
Working experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau is desirable
A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills able to effectively communicate both with technical experts and management
Attention to detail
Ability to engage with colleagues across the business
Inspires and motivates toward new and stretch opportunities.
Influence others, engage and inspire proactive collaboration, communicate effectively and build relationships.
Emotional intelligence and good presentation skills are required.
Basic understanding of databases and data warehousing
Able to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner
Experience in the Facilities Management/Property Sector desirable but not essential
