Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant / Alternative Provision / Darwen / ASAP

A SEN School in Darwen are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant with proven behaviour management to work in small groups and on a one to one basis with pupils from age 11 - 16 who have social,emotional mental health needs and behaviour issues.

The main objective of this school is to offer a secure and carefully structured environment, where disaffected and/or permanently excluded pupils develop as confident and independent learners able to achieve their best outcomes.

As a Teaching Assistant you will facilitate and support the successful reintegration of pupils into schools.

The successful candidate will have a good level of numeracy, literacy, written and oral communication skills.

As a Teaching Assistant you will contribute towards the planning, monitoring, evaluating and record keeping of individual education plans for specified pupils.

We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and committed Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with learners who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
