Job Description

We are currently looking for Support Care Workers, preferably educated to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care but this is not essential. Our client has been empowering children & adults with learning disabilities to live their lives to the fullest. Their service is unique in the fact they support individuals with a variety of different needs. They are looking for passionate, empathetic and motivated individuals to share their values and behaviours.

Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • To build professional rapport with service users and their families, communicate with them in a way that respects their views, autonomy and culture.
  • To communicate effectively with all professionals concerned with the service user’s care.
  • Personal care includes washing, dressing, bathing, toileting and medication monitoring and/or assistance.
  • Ensure service user confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • To report effectively to the team on the service users progress and performance in relation to the patient goals.
  • Social duties include preparing and cooking meals
  • To ensure that up to date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with Professional Standards.


  • A clear DBS (Enhanced) that is on the update service
  • Certificates dated within the last 3 years for the following

o Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults & Children

o Food & Hygiene

o Administering Medication

o Infection Control

o Epilepsy Awareness

o Moving & Handling

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, all staff working with our client are required to undertake a Lateral Flow test 1 hour before the start of your shift. PPE will be provided by our client. You must have both doses of the COVID vaccination to be considered for this role.
