Job Description

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a leading global law firm to support the development of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in London.

This role will be business critical in its support to the London team and offers an experienced and ambitious business development professional a chance to make a huge impact. As part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Marketing & Business Development team, you will work with your regional counterparts, as well as with other members of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution located across the globe. Operating closely with the partnership and being directly supported by a BD Executive, you will enjoy a strategic role requiring a high-energy leader who will be able to adopt a problem-solving approach to day-to-day support, guide others in resolving complex issues, play a key role in setting best practice and take the lead on the successful delivery of longer-term strategic London initiatives. The (Senior) Business Development Manager will be heavily involved in strategic planning and key account planning, taking a leadership role in client relationship management, by applying depth of product knowledge to support client and segment programmes that run both across the practice and also firmwide. The successful applicant will also have strong involvement in wider strategic marketing and thought leadership.

Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record allied to proven BD and marketing experience gained in a leading law firm, to include broad experience in dealing with senior management and key stakeholders and previous leadership and line management responsibility. The (Senior) Business Development Manager will also possess good commercial awareness of legal and financial market developments, excellent project management, coaching, influencing and presentation skills and be confident, articulate, resilient and focused. A strong interest in and understanding of litigation and dispute resolution is also essential.
