Our client is a leading not for profit business based in the heart of Sheffield City Centre. This is easy commuting for anyone on the train network and sensible road links.

Working in a hybrid model the role requires 2 days on site as a minimum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an advancing procurement professional that wants to take the lead of function head. The role requires a charismatic and confident individual to map the key stakeholders with in the business and define a new vision for the service to deliver VFM to it's clientele.

This role focuses on policy, governance and compliance strategy. Undertaking a spend analysis to establish a road map of improving the capture spend and it's management with a new Contract Database.

You will lead in category management initiatives 'if you see this appropriate', under take procurement projects with stakeholders, negotiating, mitigating risk and improving supplier management.

This is a great development opportunity in an evolving and establish a procurement function.

Typically this role would suit a category manager or senior procurement officer wanting to take the next step in their career. By having more emphasis on true strategy development.

Role and Responsibilities:

> Development and delivery of indirect category strategies (mainly corporate indirect including professional services, marketing and HR)
> Strategic sourcing
> Negotiating key commercial contracts
> Lead category and sourcing projects
> Contract tendering
> Liaising with key stakeholders
> Supplier management and engagement
> Risk Management

Your Experience:

> Skilled and experienced indirect procurement/category specialist
> Strong procurement category management background
> Strategic sourcing experience
> Strong negotiator with contracting skills
> Collaborative style and approach Excellent stakeholder and supplier management
> Build and develop existing and new relationships with stakeholders at all levels
> Will need to demonstrate experience within managing multiple indirect categories
> Should be comfortable working autonomously and will be able to work with and influence stakeholders across the business
> Ideally will be degree or MCIPS qualified

£39,500 +37 days Holiday, Pension 17.5% employer cont. Support with study such as CIPS
