Job Description

Provectus Recruitment have partnered with a high-tech manufacturing business near Cambridge, that are leading the development and manufacture of specialist sensor-based instrumentation used for measurement of matter. This company work in a rapidly growing market, with a customer base that is spread across the world.

Due to business acquisition and continued growth, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, that will be responsible for leading the entire Manufacturing Engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate complex NPD projects, ensuring compliance with processes and project deadlines
  • Produce project plans & communicate to internal departments & key stakeholders
  • Work closely at with Sales & project teams at the start of product conception, giving input for manufacturing engineering concern
  • Lead all continuous improvement process optimisation, driving overall manufacturing efficiency
  • Manage release of product data, such as BOM’s, drawings etc
  • Oversee & maintain current correct data input and management on ERP system
  • Lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers by offering motivation, support & development opportunity
  • Management of change control processes, ensuring ECR’s are actioned according to targets.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates that have led Manufacturing Engineering teams, in a complex systems environment, overseeing product development from concept to full-term manufacture. Candidates should have demonstratable experience managing technical projects related to NPI/NPD, as well as a solid technical understanding of Electr0mechanical disciplines and systems.

  • Degree in Engineering or considerable number of years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering lead role
  • Project Management experience (APM, Prince 2, other associated PM qualification would be beneficial)
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement engineering & lean Manufacturing principals.
