LCA Healthcare are working with an established and reputable organisation that are seeking experienced Registered managers for two of their childrens homes in the Tameside Area.
There are two positions available, Both in Tameside and one of the homes is an established 4 bed EBD home (all boys) with a good Ofsted rating. The second is an excitng opportunity to shape a new home with 5 beds.
The candidate should be an experienced registered manager with a proven track record.
The post holder will be the ‘Registered Manager’ for the Home as specified in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001 and required to fulfil the obligations set out in the National Minimum Standards for Children’s Homes 2002. The Home will provide medium to long-term placements for young people where the plan indicates this to be the most suitable intervention. The Registered Manager is responsible for delivering high quality care to the children and young people resident within the Home. This means that they are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the Home, and all the day to day management matters. The Registered Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the Homes Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same.RM/JD&PS/HR v.1 07/18 Author: JR/OM The Registered Manager is responsible for providing high quality care services that support the needs of the children and young people, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff. The Registered Manager is responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the Home. Consequently, they are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the Home. As this is vital role in the lives of children and young people cared for at Stepping Stones Children’s Homes, it requires an active and long-term commitment. The Directors and the Operations Manager work closely with each Registered Manager, assisting them to provide high quality care. While the Registered Manager is employed at 40 hours per week, they are expected to arrange their own work rota which may involve evening, weekend and sleepingin duties. The Registered Manager is wholly responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the Home.
