Job Description

We are recruiting an Account Manager to work for a supplier of rental equipment into oil refineries, chemical processing plants, nuclear and energy markets across the North of the UK.
The company has been present in the UK for just over 7 years and in that time has developed a great reputation for delivering quality service and reliable equipment. As such they have a busy order book and a CRM packed full of customers. As Account Manager your role will be to regularly visit these customers to establish what upcoming needs they have, in order that the company can forecast revenue, profit and ensure they'll have assets available to fulfill projects.
The company has a thorough and accurate CRM, along with access to an expensive and detailed database of prospects and upcoming projects. You will be responsible for delivering £500k+ from existing customers, as well as any new prospects you bring on line. The GM will manage key accounts until the Account Manager is confident enough in the company's offering to take over these.
To be successful in this role the biggest requirement will be that you want to be up and on the road visiting customers. It's based from home but it's expected that much of your time will be customer-facing. Whilst this attribute will be pivotal, some industry experience will be required to make a success of the role. The UK Company is small and doesn't have the resource to teach someone everything from scratch.
Relevant industries could be industrial pumps, temporary storage tanks, water processing, drain cleaning, industrial washing/cleaning systems. A background in dealing with oil refineries, chemical plants, or other process industries will be advantageous.
The company has a supplier which has a large sales force who they work with on projects. Part of the role will be to ensure their sales force is aware of any new innovations, and any new employees are trained on the services offered. This allows for effective cross-selling and the gaining of leads.
Initial interviews will be conducted by Sauce People Ltd, and shortlisted candidates should expect a further 2 interviews with the customer. This is an immediate requirement
