Senior Hardware Engineer
Established in 2012 by top entrepreneurs in the satellite industry, my client designs next-generation satellite communication systems based on in-house developed chipsets. Developing a line of satellite communication modems with Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronically Steered Multi Beam Antennas (ESMA) to support the most advanced standards, such as DVB-S2X and 5G.
High level architecture including component selection and schematic design of Digital and RF PCBs. All designed for quality and cost effectivenss.
Circuit and PCB level simulation using Ansys suite of Simulation tools.
PCB - basic layout design using Cadence Allegrofor complex multilayer PCBs and tracking of full layout design by professional pcb engineers.
BoM generation, supporting internal purchasing for prototype manufacture and supporting the factory for mass production.
Design of testing procedures and testing set-ups.
Testing and validation of prototypes including generation of test reports.
Working with VLSI, RF IC, Software and System engineering teams to bring-up hardware and for product level verification.
Ensure developed products meet environmental, thermal, safety and EMI/EMC requirements while adhering to BoM constraints.
Technical leadership & mentoring of less experienced engineers
10+ years of industry experience in HW product design
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering
Independent & proactive approach to solving problems.
Full product life cycle experience.
Ability to take end to end ownership for the hardware on a project.
Experience in circuit and PCB simulation tools (For ex: ADS, SiWave, HFSS, CST)
Hands on experience in design of products that contain the following:
Microcontrollers / Digital Signal processors.
High speed digital Interfaces (For ex: SERDES)
Power supplies and sensors
Antennas and RF
