About The Role The Property department is a vital part of the Society's core operations and is made up of Accommodation & Facilities, Security, Estates, Health and Safety, Property Operations and Property Support. Collectively, the team is responsible for the overall Property strategy and for providing accommodation, physical security, environmental solutions, and facilities management, across the business. In addition the team are responsible for maintaining and developing the property real estate, through acquisition and disposals, lifecycle asset management, building refurbishments, repairs and maintenance. We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Officer to join our existing team to ensure optimum building performance, integrating people, place and process whilst improving the quality of life for our colleagues and the productivity of the core business. You'll be proactively maintaining and monitoring all building facilities and equipment for the campus, to ensure the health and safety of all users and that business interruption is minimised, identifying and managing any incidents relating to the head office facilities. Additional Information 35 Hours M-F, 7 hours per day covering 3 shift patterns on a weekly rota basis. 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 11am-7pm (5% shift allowance) Covering all Coventry HO sites and also occasional visits to Charlton Court. Occasional weekend working as required - payable as overtime. About You We're ideally looking for someone with previous experience in a facilities role, preferably in multi-site operations in a medium to large public sector, retail or fast moving and/or financial services environment would be an advantage. You'll have experience of building facilities & an understanding of critical support systems is preferred. You'll also have knowledge of general health and safety practice, risk assessment and fire prevention techniques. You must be a driver and hold a full driving license and ideally you will currently hold or are working towards Institute of workplace Facilities Management accreditation or willing to do so and will also hold a relevant First Aid in the workplace certification or be prepared to undertake training. You must be available (on-call) for out of hours support, on a rota basis You will be a self-starter with the ability to problem solve using various strategies and skills and you'll be comfortable building and maintaining relationships - it's a role in which you need to be a great communicator and have ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. You'll also be passionate about developing yourself, looking for opportunities for development and growth.
