What are we looking for?

Imperial Education are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants for a number of vacancies immediately available in Middlesbrough, Stockton and the surrounding areas.

Imperial Education are working with a number of SEND provisions and the successful candidate will have strong recent experience of working with clients with ASD, MLD, SLD PMLD or SEMH, either directly in Education.

You will be a strong individual who has a passion for teaching and desireable SEN experience. You will be working closely with children from KS1 up to KS4 and we want you to be able to encourage and help develop pupils working in conjunction with teams already in place within our SEN schools. We will expect you to be able to put fun and creativity in the classroom while still delivering and maintaining high quality education.

The working days are Monday to Friday.

Our Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants have the possibility of going permanent with some of our clients, with many already starting such roles this academic year, you could be next.

To become part of the Imperial Education team ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience within a SEND environment and with pupils with SEND needs.
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the last 3 years.
  • Hold a formal and relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Be comfortable 1-on-1 with pupils
  • Work well under considerable pressure and to stay calm
  • Be both adaptable and flexible, going above and beyond at all times
  • Have excellent punctuality and organisation
  • Be positive and friendly
  • Hold TEAM TEACH qualification ( desirable not essential )
