A super organised Data Management Officer / Data Administrator, who has excellent Microsoft Excel skills, is needed to join a modern institution with colleges across the UK. This role will be split between two functions of the business (Data Management and Data Protection), the role will be predominantly small regular administrative tasks. Large tasks will be seasonal - full training can be provided on this aspect of the role.

With over 35 years’ experience in helping students launch successful careers in the creative industry. Our client is the largest and leading provider of contemporary music education in Europe offering a broad range of Higher and Further Education music courses - including BA Honours Degrees, nationally accredited Diplomas and Postgraduate Teaching Certificates. Due to exciting growth, they are now seeking a Data Management Officer / Data Administrator who enjoys multiple responsibilities, to cover data management and data protection functions - the amount of time invested in each can be seasonal and depend heavily on what part of the student recruitment cycle the business is in, as well as whether it is term time or not.

Reporting to the Group Head of Business Intelligence & Regulatory Returns, the Data Management Officer / Data Administrator will be responsible for regular Data Management tasks as well as reacting to and completing Data Protection task as they occur. Whether you are managing the curriculum and programme, managing standard data sets, ensuring programme and course set up, supporting other departments with data quality, managing data within the student data system, investigating potential data breaches, managing the privacy inbox, or responding to data requests it will be your excellent attention to detail that ensure the smooth running of this vital department.

To qualify… You should be a Data Management Officer / Data Administrator / Student Data Admin / Data Compliance Administrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Excellent communication skills and systems/data administration skills as well as a good knowledge of legislation around privacy and data protections (GDPR).
  • Excellent time management and demonstrable experience of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • You are a problem solver with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Outlook etc.).
