Position: Quality Engineering Manager

Location: Cambridgeshire

The Company: Our Client, an innovative dynamic passionate manufactures minimal invasive next-generation robotic-assisted medical devices that are at the forefront of how surgical procedures are carried out. An award-winning company that plans to significantly disrupt the way surgery is performed for the benefit of millions of patients all around the world.

Due to sustained continued expansion they are looking for a driven, improvement focussed Product Quality Engineering Manager to be responsible for driving up product quality to ensure that the systems are delivering to the highest standards. You will provide vision, leadership and support to a growing team of Product Quality Engineers, as they work with design, manufacturing and service teams to ensure that my Client is focusing on the most important quality issues. To achieve this, you will be responsible for the customer complaint and CAPA processes and you will define and drive data-driven product quality improvements.

The Person: Candidates suitable for consideration should be able to provide evidence of the following:

  • Educated to HNC / HND / Degree or be a Time Served Engineer with relevant experience
  • Experience of previous team leadership or management
  • Knowledge of requirements of working in the medical device industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820)
  • Capable of making decisions concerning containment and disposition of products and product safety issues
  • Understanding and experience of problem-solving, root cause analysis, and quality improvement tools and techniques

You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of between £60,000 to £70,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits / Prospects (including Relocation Assistance) plus excellent prospects and an employment package that you would expect from a company that values its employees.
