Consultant - Autonomous Technology

Location: South Cambridgeshire

Salary: Very competitive + excellent benefits

A brand-new position has arisen for a Consultant to join a rapidly expanding technology development company - specifically to work within the Autonomous department (autonomous vehicles and machines). Working with world leading companies, developing their products for applications in the Autonomous world.

With a background in being a Consultant in Autonomous Technology, within deep tech you will sit at the interface between external stakeholders and the company's R&D team. You will build strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and using this to plan and execute complex development projects.

This would suit a hands-on product manager or senior applications engineer with skills within consultancy, high-tech product development along with commercial skills in the sales side - be it account management or business development.

You will be involved in wide ranging aspects of technology and product development such as invention, analysis, computational modelling, prototyping, laboratory testing, process development, product design and transfer to manufacture. As well as bringing depth in physics or engineering, your technical breadth will enable you to quickly grasp new ideas and collaborate effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a mathematical science or engineering. A PhD or similar is advantageous, if pertinent to autonomous technologies.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment along with background of technical product development ownership in a deep tech company. Preferably involving sensors or software for autonomous machines.
  • Skills in the following are highly desirable: Creativity, Hands-on attitude, Analytical approach, Communication skills, Leadership and insatiable curiosity.
