Are you an Algorithm Engineer who possesses excellent DSP Programming skills, a good understanding of 3GPP physical layer specifications (LTE and 5GNR) and looking for an exciting opportunity where you can really make a difference? Then this superb Algorithm Engineer position is for you. You will join a highly innovative and fast-growing fabless semiconductor start-up in Cambridge as an integral member of the development team. Responsible for developing tuning algorithm software for circuits, and support integration of these algorithms with hardware operating within a 3GPP LTE/5GNR physical layer.

Remote working considered - However you must be willing to travel to Cambridge when needed!

Requirements of Algorithm Engineer

  • BSc grade 2.i or above in Electronics, Communication systems or similar subject
  • Experience developing DSP software / algorithms for physical layer processing or RF control
  • Experience developing software in MATLAB/Python
  • Bringing a system together as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A good understanding of 3GPP physical layer specifications (LTE and 5GNR)
  • System-level knowledge of RF system architectures and performance metrics
  • Ability to follow software design and development good practices (e.g. version control systems)
  • A flexible and creative approach to problem solving and rapid design iteration
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of team members and colleagues
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Working with RF circuits and systems / adaptive RF circuits (e.g. digital pre-distortion for PA linearisation) beneficial

Salary: £50k - £70k + Shares

Location: Cambridgeshire (Remote working considered)
