I am recruiting for a generalist HR position covering all aspects of HR administration across 6 European sites. The HR assistant will work closely with department heads and employees to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Recruiting, hiring and training new and existing employees across Europe
  • Planning programs and processes to improve employee welfare
  • Being the first point of call for employee related issues
  • Entering new starters and leavers onto company systems, and welcoming new employees to the business
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing data
  • Work across all sites in implementing new processes from UCT (SAP system)
  • Assisting in updating Company policies and procedures
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees
  •  Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • To support and promote the Company’s vision and values
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Assisting in updating Company policies and procedures
  • Work with European HR Manager on other related tasks

Required skills and experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in HR role
  • Professional communicator
  • Understands confidentiality within department
  • Previous experience in recruitment
  • Empathetic towards employee issues
  • Strong administration skills
  • Willing to pursue career in HR
  • Previous experience with HR database - desirable
  • Previous interview experience - desirable
  • European HR experience - desirable

Salary £25,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.

Benefits include, private medical, annual bonus and half day on Fridays!
