Administration Assistant Job in Lymington

Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a quickly growing SME in Lymington in recruiting for a new Supply Chain Administration Assistant to join their small but friendly team. The company provide luxury products to well known brand and the Supply Chain Administration Assistant will be a key part in the logistics, import and shipping of products from across the world including the UK, Europe, US, Australia and China.

The Supply Chain Administration Assistant will be assisting the Supply Manager with effective administration, documentation and process management of running a busy department and looking after the supply chain within the business. The Supply Chain Administration Assistant position will be suited to someone who is not afraid to get suck in to all aspects of the business and who enjoys a challenge. This is an excellent chance to become part of a busy, social office environment with great long term opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inputting of accurate data onto the businesses operating systems efficiently.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve any queries or issues.
  • Setting up, maintaining, and updating physical and digital files.
  • Labelling product samples.
  • Ensuring all samples are organized, tidy and in the correct place.
  • Amending purchase orders if required.
  • Drafting and issuing commercial invoices
  • Creating delivery notes
  • Checking documentation is correct
  • Organising and sending out parcels
  • Updating and maintaining excel spreadsheets
  • Booking in deliveries with customer’s warehouses
  • Checking supplier invoices and matching up details to the order processing system, ensuring prices and quantities reconcile

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent self-management and motivation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • IT Literate with knowledge and demonstrable working experience of using Microsoft Office/Excel/Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both, verbal, written with a good telephone manner.
  • Articulate with excellent attention to detail and with a passion for accuracy and getting things right first time.
  • Must drive and have own car

Salary & Benefits:

  • Up to £20,000 per annum
  • Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
  • Free parking onsite
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays pro rata
