rthirteen recruitment are partnering with a highly reputable financial organisation, in their search for a Tax Senior to join their team. Working within the tax department, your role will be to prepare tax returns and provide tax advice on a regular basis to the companies large and diverse client base.

This is a brilliant chance for the successful candidate to join a client focused organisation that provides all its employee with tailored training in order for them to achieve their personal career goals. You can join on either a part-time or full-time basis but please specify which when applying.

Your duties will include:

  • Working on a portfolio of private client's UK tax compliance and advisory needs.
  • Maintaining an up to date understanding of tax clients’ businesses and personal affairs.
  • Preparing and completing tax returns within budget and to set deadlines.
  • Developing and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
  • Supporting the tax managers / partners.
  • Maintaining and further developing your technical understanding of tax and keeping updated with latest industry developments.
  • Liaising with HMRC on any tax related queries.
  • Overseeing junior staff in preparation of tax returns, providing training where required and assisting with their development,
  • Ensuring client records are accurate and up to date.

You will have/be:

  • CTA/ATT qualified or part qualified.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a corporation tax practice environment
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, tailoring your approach where required.
  • Experience preparing corporation tax computations and return.
  • Strong IT skills with good experience of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of relevant corporation tax software.
  • Good analytical skills with a mind for problem solving.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.

Our client offers an open planned / modern working space, where the focus is working collaboratively across all departments to offer a bespoke and tailor-made service to all clients. Working 9am-4pm Monday-Friday, this role offers a salary of £26,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience. This role benefits from 21 days annual leave + bank holidays, flexible working hours, contributory pension and life assurance scheme.
