I am recruiting an Interim Management Accountant to complete a 9 month contract with a successful business based in Ellesmere Port. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for a number of subsidiaries as well as assisting with consolidating the full company accounts. You will then be communicating the results to relevant line managers within the business. Initially this will be a fixed term contract but may lead to a more long term position for the successful candidate.
Preparation of monthly management accounts production and consolidations.
Detailed reporting & analysis relating to both revenue and costs to support key business decisions.
Supporting the preparation of the annual budget / forecasts and reforecasts.
Liaison with managers - reporting and reviewing actual and forecast performance at both detailed and summary level.
Ensuring the provision of timely and valuable management and operational - maintaining and expanding a range of reports in order to assist in the effective management of costs and revenue targets.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Review of reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank, sales ledger, purchase ledger, prepayments and accruals, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
Continuous improvement with driving best practice financial controls, processes and procedures to a lean philosophy.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously and must be available to start work on minimal notice. You will be AAT qualified, CIMA or ACCC part qualified, or suitably qualified by experience. You will need to have strong Excel skills and ideally have experience of Sage.
