An award winning professional services firm based in Blackburn are seeking a permanent Marketing Assistant/ Executive to join their team on a permanent basis. Paying £23,000pa and reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with 1-2 years' experience, who is looking to further expand their skills within a dynamic and ambitious business, who may be working as an Assistant currently, but is looking to step into an Executive position with more autonomy.
The purpose of the role is to play a key part within the Marketing & Business Development team; working on a varied range of marketing activity. Please see below a snapshot of the key duties involved with this role:

  • Content writing of blogs, literature and technical guides, including undertaking relevant research and ensuring high levels of attention to detail, written in a professional manner
  • Design of any relevant marketing collateral
  • Event planning, both face to face and online events - internal and external communication, venue booking, liaising directly with delegates and marketing the event accordingly - analysis on said events, including reporting on delegate feedback
  • Maintaining the firms website and social media channels
  • Developing digital campaigns
  • Preparing presentations
  • Managing the firms email marketing database and adhering to GDPR policies at all times
  • General administrative duties within the team as required

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Circa 2 years' experience within a similar role in a busy and fast paced marketing department
  • Experience creating professional content
  • A degree in Marketing, English or a similar Business/ Creative degree (or a relevant qualification)
  • Happy to consider candidates from B2B or B2C environments
  • Be a proactive self-starter, who can use their initiative and work autonomously
  • Demonstrate extremely high attention to detail
  • Have a professional and positive manner
  • The ability to liaise with professional clients; outstanding communication skills
