Assistant Buyer – North Manchester – £24,000 - £28,000k
Based in North Manchester, our client is an established engineering firm that offers a great working environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join and support a highly successful business to ensure that the highest standards of supply, cost and quality are maintained at all times . This job will be office based initially Mon-Fri however a hybrid mix of both home and office working will be considered for the right applicant after the completion of training.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will be studying for the CIPS qualification however candidates with practical purchasing experience will still be considered. Within this role you will be expected to travel globally on a regular basis, therefore, you must be available to do so and sometimes with little notice. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering business would be preferred and the ability to read technical drawings is required. You will be expected to support multiple projects through to their successful completion therefore you must be a robust character that is highly organised and has the ability to confidently problem solve. You will need to be reactive to change and have a flexible approach to all that you do.
