A great opportunity has arisen with a fast moving and growing business, who specialise in providing professional interpreting and translation services across the UK, covering both public and private sectors. We are looking for an experienced and meticulously organised Bid Coordinator to join our growing team. You will generally support the Bid Manager leading the bid, having read and understood the client requirements. You will devise and draft bid programmes, coordinate inputs from subject matter experts and track progress against tasks. This role requires the highest level of attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

Based in our head office in Rochdale, you will be required to have proactive engagement in ad hoc tasks around general bidding best practice and you will work collaboratively with technical and operational colleagues within the business. You will be responsible for the preparation of standard company information and the quality aspects of pre-qualification questionnaires and tender submissions for a variety of clients. This will include collating, coordinating, ad reviewing information from others, ensuring timely completion and full compliance with tender requirements. Job Purpose

  • Preparation and submission of proposals
  • Support the Bid Manager
  • Produce PQQ’s, tenders and other proposals documents

Key Responsibilities

  • Production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
  • Champion collaboration tools, document management and version control best practices
  • Ensure proposal documents follow corporate branding guidelines, standard formatting and quality standards
  • Work closely with several internal departments to support them with bid and tender documents and gather information to produce writer tender responses
  • Coordinating and collating bid responses ensuring all requests elements are accounted for and answered, including extracting information from any subcontractors or partners
  • Tracking all online procurement portals, including notification of potential opportunities and responsibility for all correspondence via portals during the tender period
  • Executing tasks to completion without the need for supervision, working efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Proofreading of documentation

About You

  • Experience in a similar role, an understanding of bid systems would be advantageous
  • Understanding the bid process and able to coordinate responses at all stages for the procurement event
  • A relevant degree qualification or equivalent (e.g. English, Marketing or Journalism) is desirable
  • Ability to apply your skills to tenders to public and private sector markets
  • Attention to detail and an aptitude for editing and proofreading
  • Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines accurately and effectively
  • Articulate and excellent writing skills
  • Advanced IT skills across a broad range of applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to interact professionally at all times
