Data Architect

Salary: £75k - £85k (dependent on experience)

With the company spending the last 2 years overhauling their traditional monolith architecture into a contemporary cloud-driven microservices model that has seen productivity increase tenfold; they’re now looking to drive their data capabilities further through the year through the addition of an ambitious and hard-working Data Architect.

Being tasked with establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to the company’s various stakeholders through various means, you’ll need to be a highly capable communicator with a love for all things data that can adeptly create quality designs in adherence to the brand’s overall strategy. Key responsibilities:

  • Play a key role within the defining, maintaining and optimisation of the technical roadmap, ensuring tech guidance and sequencing insight is given where appropriate
  • Create robust data-specific architecture principles, standards, and artefacts
  • Ensure you take into consideration the inputs and opinions of data stakeholders
  • Periodically set about supporting the development and creation of standard methods for data
  • Work alongside data analytics on a range of tasks (BI reporting approach, Data Migration needs etc.)

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in data architecture or similar lead technology role
  • Proven skills creating cloud-based lakes/data warehouse solutions
  • Approach data modelling and database design in a logical manner
  • Prior skills in supporting complex machine learning projects through data deployment
  • Demonstrable approaches to problem-solving
  • Keen to grow professionally and become an industry leader
  • Terradata, Cloud Fundamentals and data visualisation skills (preferable but not required)
