To assist in the smooth running of the department and ensure that timely financial and management information is produced by the Finance Department and correct payments are made when due
Reports to: Group Finance Manager
Principal job elements and responsibilities:
Daily reconciliation of the Advance Control and Bank Account
Processing and Allocation of Funder Advances
Process any return of advances
Responsibility for the Monthly Commission payment run and reconciliation
Investigate and resolve any issues arising from the Commission reconciliation
Support the group function with posting accounting transactions as required
Review twice daily dealer payment runs
Assist with the monitoring and review of the Finance Inbox
Contributing to the improvement of systems and procedures
Providing comprehensive cover for the Assistant Management Accountant
Ad hoc reporting and related tasks as required
Skills, knowledge, training required for job:
Knowledge of general accounting practices
Excellent communicator with the ability to inspire confidence in both finance and non-finance colleagues
Experienced in the use of Excel
Ability to use initiative coupled with demonstrable problem-solving skills.
