Very well established manufacturing client in South Bristol, have a new opening for a Trainee Sales/ Account Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity if you are experienced in a customer service/ facing role and have excellent telephone based experience and would like to move in to a sales and account management role. We can still consider applications if you already have sales and account management experience.
This is a full time role working Monday - Friday 08.30 am - 5.00 pm with an hour for lunch. There is some flexibility with this, that can be agreed with the client.
Working in a friendly environment, it's a prime time to join the vibrant and growing sales office. The basic salary is circa £22,000 per annum and there is also a realistic commission structure of approx. £27,000 per annum. The client offer benefits including 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (Christmas office shut down), as well as a company pension and career progression and development opportunities.

The role will be an office based position (social distanced desks and working areas in place as well as ventilation and sanitiser available).
This is an office based sales & account management role and will be focused on maintaining existing clients and developing new sales opportunities. All calls will be Business to Business, where you will be required to book new business, proactively identify and source fresh call out data, and maintain and build upon an already extensive client base, offer guidance and advice on products and upselling products.
You will also research new business contacts, manage business relationships exceptionally well, process quotations and meet and exceed set KPIs.
Client base will be warm, and also focusing on lapsed and some cold new business calling. There is autonomy to manage your desk how works for you best, as long as the results are there!
The role will be an approx. 50/50 split of account management and new business sales, so it is important that you thrive on new business calls, as well as looking after existing clients and nurturing long term relationships. Our ideal candidate will have strong customer service and telephone based expeirnece, or some previous B2B telesales and account/customer management experience.
You'll need to have strong interpersonal skills, an engaged, excellent telephone manner, and a desire to build lasting relationships. Ideally you will have experience with cold calling and the ability to close. You'll also need to be confident to manage your own time effectively and work unsupervised.
