A premium, international business law firm, recognised as one of the most innovative in Europe, are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager, who will be based in London, with occasional travel to other UK offices.

This role sits within the Business Development department, whose focus in on helping the firm's expert partners and other lawyers to build their brand, communicate persuasively, win business and develop client relationships. The role holder will sit within the central BD function providing support to the Financial Service Sector. Reporting directly to and working with the Head of Sectors and Divisions, you will promote best practice approaches across the sectors and divisions team and will be expected to foster a consultative, client focused approach to business development and marketing activities. The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for providing marketing and business development support that is targeted, and focused on growing the business's reputation with financial institutions. Working alongside the Financial Services Sector leadership team and working in partnership with the assigned Sector lead partners, the successful applicant will lead on the sector business development and marketing strategy, aligning business growth plans alongside tactical marketing and business development delivery. This will be a varied and rewarding role that is dependent on building good relationships and will include bids, CRM, campaign management, content and profile raising both externally and internally.
You will need to have a strong academic background or equivalent allied to substantial previous experience providing proactive advice on business development issues in the professional services sector, preferably in a legal firm. The Senior Business Development Manager will need a robust attention to detail, a real commercial instinct, excellent communication skills and an innate ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organisation.
