Audit/Accounts Senior - Wakefield
Up to £38,000 - Accountancy Practice
The company is one the largest and forward thinking independent chartered accountancy practice based in Yorkshire (Wakefield), with 40 staff and 5 partners within the business. In your new role you will join the team in an Audit/Accounts senior role split 40/60. Within audit, you will assist in the planning, execution, and finalisation of all areas of external audit. Within the accounts, you will prepare and produce statutory accounts and VAT returns, liaising with the client/director where required to ensure successful completion. In this role you will manage your own portfolio and liaise directly with directors.
What you will need:
To succeed in this role you will need to be a qualified accountant AAT/ACCA/CIMA. This role will suit an individual who is newly qualified (or a finalist) looking to move into a position with more progression potential. You will need previous practice experience, and have a strong understanding of accounts production, VAT returns and the external audit process from start to finish. You will need to be confident, articulate and have a keen eye for detail. You will need to be able to build and maintain client relationships.

You will hold a good amount of responsibility as you will manage your own client portfolio and work closely with senior managers for the firm.
You will receive a great holiday allowance of 28 days + bank holidays and will work shorter hours than most chartered practice. Standard hours are 8:00-4:30 and finishing at 1:30pm on Friday.
