Finance Officer – Procurement & Purchasing - Spider is advertising on behalf of our client in the further education sector and provides a range of courses for students and work-based learning students. They are now currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their team, in Ipswich, Suffolk.
This is a Finance Officer role is an exciting opportunity to work within their Finance team providing a high-quality customer service supporting internal and external customers. You will have the ability to provide an effective procurement and purchasing service to the College with excellent organisational and IT skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
You will have experience of working within a customer-facing role ideally dealing with statistical or financial information. You will be processing and gathering information for the tender processes to support the Management Accountant.
You should enjoy working as part of a team with a good standard of education including English and Maths at a Level 2 standard or equivalent. You should also have a Level 2 in ICT or the equivalent knowledge and computer literacy. They will welcome an application from candidates who hold a Level 3 in AAT but if you do not have this qualification, they can provide the opportunity for you to study for this alongside this role.
This Finance Officer role is ideal for someone with purchase ledger or financial administration experience who is looking to take the next step and gain experience in a more specialised role. If this sounds like the next role for you, they would love to hear from you!

In return, the salary on offer is £18,801 to £20,703 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience). Working hours are 37 hours per week. Other benefits include Career Average Pension Scheme in which employees contribute between 5.5% and 12.5% depending on salary and holiday of 20 days per annum pro rata rising one day per year pro rata to a maximum of 25 days per annum pro rata, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure days.
