Finance Systems Manager required for an Academic Institution to manage an Agresso finance system covering configuration changes and development. General ERP skills considered for those willing to cross train. Dynamic working as a standard.

Client Details

A well known academic institution based in Edinburgh with a distinguished history is looking to add a Finance Systems Manager to look after their Agresso system covering configuration changes, development and support of the ERP. Modules include Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Cost and Billing and Purchase Ledger.


Reporting to the Head of Applications, this role leads a team of finance system developers who provide day to day technical management and process guidance on development activities.

The role holder will be the expert in the development of the Agresso Finance system and will continuously seek opportunities to develop, integrate and enhance the performance of its technologies. As Finance Systems Manager, you will proactively support other IS staff to ensure the effective and reliable delivery of interconnected services across the services.

Liaising with staff at all levels across the University and working proactively with multiple stakeholders (schools and professional service departments) Providing customers with expert help and advice. You will manage, lead, develop, integrate and enhance the performance of Finance Technology applications.


  • Skilled in managing ERP systems with a Finance being able to evidence your expertise in team building skills and have the ability to mentor colleagues and create a positive team culture.
  • Experience of managing ERP Finance configuration changes to meet organisation, structure and process changes, ideally with Agresso; along with a demonstrable track record in successfully implementing new business processes to deal with new working practices.
  • Demonstrable expertise in upgrading finance systems and you should have previous experience successfully developing applications and tools within a range of finance modules including Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Cost and Billing and Purchase Ledger.
  • Ability to work in a responsive and agile environment, while ensuring a customer centric approach is used at all times.
