Job Description

My client, an Accountancy & Business Advisory Firm with offices throughout the UK are looking to recruit within their large SSC based in Liverpool City Centre.

Your role as Senior Associate -Accounts Hub will give you the opportunity to increase your skill set, experience and in turn develop your career within accounts. This team is one of several Hubs within the rapidly growing shared service centre. You will work internally within the business providing support to the client facing members of the firm and will be part of the next phase of the firms SSC.

This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will;

DUTIES

  • Support national audit teams with review and quality assurance of statutory accounts prepared under UK reporting standards.
  • Provide cover for Accounts Hub Supervisor during holidays and absence.
  • Monitor productivity and accuracy of the team’s member’s output.
  • Embed a continuous improvement ethic through effective monitoring and route cause analysis of errors and omissions.
  • Work extensively with the company’s proprietary workflow tools.
  • Deliver quality and assurance outputs to agreed timescale, quality, and volume.
  • Formally train junior colleagues
  • Act as people manager to junior team members, setting and reviewing goals.

SKILL SET & DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

  • Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified, but QBE will be considered.
  • Significant experience of preparing statutory accounts.
  • Experience of preparing management accounts is advantageous.
  • Experience of training junior members of staff and reviewing their outputs.
  • Knowledge of using accounts production packages is required.
  • You will be able to deliver team outputs to agreed timescale, quality, and volume.
  • IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Excel, other MS products and similar desktop applications. Willingness to learn new systems is essential.
  • Good time management, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
  • Well presented with a professional level of communication - both written and oral
  • Energised, enthusiastic and results driven.
