£20,000 - £21,000 Per Annum Dependant On Experience + Monday to Friday Role + Early Finish On Fridays + Overtime Opportunities on Evenings and Weekends

Manual Machinist / Mechanical Engineer sought in a growing, Cheltenham based company offering a good team environment and an early finish on Fridays.

The Manual Machinist / Mechanical Engineer role would suit an experienced Engineer with exposure to working from raw materials to interpret engineer drawings and be comfortable with the use of hand tools and machinery including with Guillotines, Mills, Lathes and Drills. Any exposure to induction and the brazing and soldering of copper will be advantageous but not essential. Experience with testing and inspecting goods inwards would be a benefit but this can be trained on. You will be able to communicate effectively with team members and management.

The core function of the Manual Machinist / Mechanical Engineer role will be to interpret detailed engineering drawings made from bespoke client specifications. This will include brazing, soldering, and the use of production machinery such as Guillotines, Mills, Lathes and Drills as well as sheet metal works, tube bending and assembling. You will work within a team of 6 engineers of varied experience levels and be required to communicate effectively with team members and management on a daily basis.

The company are leading specialists for the manufacture of their bespoke products, made to order for a variety of industries like Solar, Medical, Aerospace, Packaging and Food and Drinks.

The Role:

* Interpret detailed engineering drawings made from bespoke client specifications

* Brazing, soldering, and the use of production machinery such as Guillotines, Mills, Lathes and Drills

* Sheet metal works, tube bending and assembling

* Work within a team of 6 engineers

* Communicate effectively with team members and management on a daily basis

The Person:

* Experienced Engineer with exposure to working from raw materials

* Ability to work from and interpret engineer drawings

* Be comfortable with the use of hand tools and production machinery including with Guillotines, Mills, Lathes and Drills

* Knowledge of induction and the brazing and soldering of copper will be advantageous but not essential
