£95-100K depending on experience plus extensive benefits package
To be successful in this role:
Candidates are required to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience successfully architecting, delivering and supporting software-based systems integrated across a variety of IT infrastructures.
Candidates should have experience of modern solution architecture paradigms and of the underlying technologies that allow these systems to be built at scale and distributed across multiple remote locations.
Candidates should also have experience of IT systems integration, service wraps and open standards within security-controlled environments.
Due to the highly secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to the highest level. You must be a British National who has been resident in the UK for at least the last 10 years and you cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within the last 5 years.
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for owning the overall technical vision of one or more active defence client engagements, leading a team of technical and/or solution architects and engineers, and leading discussions with the client technical team.
Separately, the Solution Architect will be expected to actively contribute towards the technical vision in other areas including working in a pre-sales capacity with the business development and sales teams developing winning propositions for new and existing clients.
It is important to have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a high degree of technical rigour combined with an innovative outlook.
