Business Development Data Analyst
Up to £50,000

Our client are seeking a Business Development Data Analyst to join their team. The purpose of this role is to work with the Business Development Administrators and report to the Business Development Manager. The candidate will also be responsible in providing a co-ordinated administrative function and support for the Business Development Operations Manager and Business Development team. The Business Development Data Analyst is required to be a primary point of contact for the business development team on producing competitor analysis, through charts and comparison data.

The position involves:

  • Producing manual reports through Excel / Powerpoint when required
  • Fulfilling client and third party distributor requests for data
  • Working with the with Information Services to produce regular platform management information
  • Processing, analysing and reporting fund sales and performance information
  • Creating detailed performance statistics and bespoke sales reports for the Sales team
  • Assisting the BD team in the use of external systems sales analysis tools
  • Utilising tools such as the Sales Database (PowerBI), FE Analytics and Morningstar
  • Performing advanced competitor analysis and pro-actively research into deeper performance comparisons
  • Assisting in the production of detailed sales and business reports and trend analysis via Power BI
  • Engaging in development and testing requirements and project planning for new MI systems
  • Communicating key information to clients as and when required
  • Engage in the ongoing development of Power BI reports

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Be an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject; ideally Maths, Economics or Business Studies
  • Ideally be IMC or CFA qualified or currently studying either
  • Have demonstrable experience in handling data
  • Have a broad understanding of financial markets
  • Maintain proven experience delivering high standards of service quality
  • Have client reporting and communication experience
  • Maintain experience running information from fund performance and sales reporting tools
  • Have experience in retail asset management sector with insight into the competitive fund supermarket / platform landscape (likely at least 1-2 years)
