Job Description

Our Client - a well-established service provider that has gone through solid growth in the last few years - is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis for a Temporary Assignment for 8-12 weeks, based at their Head Office in Coalville.

Working with the Finance Manager to deliver the accounting and commercial finance data, controls and reporting for the business assets. This includes the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
This role will work with the operational, treasury and controls teams within the group to financially optimise the asset portfolio this includes:

*Providing reporting to funding partners, understanding financial structuring of funder agreements
*Enduring delivery of the control environment in relation to asset lifecycle reporting and data
*Ensuring the integrity of the ledger, sub-ledgers and associated financial reports, including funder capacity reporting
*Analysis and reporting to the business and finance teams on the impact of buy/lease/dispose decisions on financial statements including cashflow
*Working with the commercial teams on tenders and bids when assessing new business opportunities
*Input of data and insight into the business financial forecasts

Key Responsibilities:
*Partake in funder audits
*Assisting in input of asset data into the statutory accounts for the business - liaising with External Auditors dealing with audit matters for the Group on these areas
*Input into asset register and associated balance sheet postings and reconciliations, including additions and disposals as well as set up of new lease agreements
*Assist in maintaining and developing the compliance and controls environment for assets throughout their life-cycle
*Ensure the fixed asset and lease accounting and controls are adhered to, working closely with the controlling team
*Assist in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting
*Assist in any developments that impact fixed assets or leases, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely controlled manner
*Help provide input for lease and capex cashflows into the treasury team
*Providing analysis and input into the financial forecast and budgets, including balance sheet and cashflow forecasts
*Drive a continuous improvement ethos with the team and function. Working closely with transactional manager and IT

* Appointment Type: Temporary 2-3 months
* Starting Salary: £26000 - £28000 FTE
* Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
* Holiday 25 Days + Bank Holidays

The Person:
*Part Qualified Accountant or Studying
*Detail driven with experience of working with large data sets
*Strong data analytics within Excel. Modelling skills would be advantageous
*Solid communications skills
*An inquisitive mind with good problem solving skills
*Flexible approach
