Job Description

Lewis Business Recovery and Insolvency are looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic administrative assistant who is willing to learnin providing an excellent service in a professional office environment.

Main job purpose

To work within a team to ensure a professional offering of business recovery and insolvency services is provided to our clients.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Reception duties to include answering and fielding calls and taking messages
  • Greeting visitors & providing refreshments
  • Ensuring office areas are kept clean & tidy
  • Opening & distributing mail
  • Franking outgoing mail & keeping post area tidy
  • Practical administration tasks such as filing, posting, delivery, scanning, shredding & photocopying
  • Monitoring all office supply levels and ordering in stationary as required
  • Support case executives, managers and directors in carrying out specific case related tasks
  • Monthly book keeping
  • Prepare accurate books and records inventories, and taking responsibility for the safeguard, removal and storage of such from company premises
  • Data entry and analysis of case documents as required
  • Complete appropriate banking and cheque request forms in order to ensure that client estate monies are handled and dealt with correctly
  • Adhere to statutory compliance and current legislation, best practice and procedures under supervision
  • Attendance on site at clients as and when required
  • Prepare and maintain excel spread sheets, and providing analysis of data

Skills and requirements

  • IT literacy skills (including MS Word and Excel)
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • Good command of written & spoken English
  • Good attention to detail
  • Uses own initiative and can work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Polite, professional and courteous at all times
  • Confident and helpful telephone manner
  • Smart appearance in keeping with a professional office
  • Excellent timekeeping

'On the job’ training will be provided in all areas, with prospects of career progression and professional exam support on offer. Previous experience is not a requirement, but we do require candidates to be extremely driven, enthusiastic and keen to learn, as we consider this to be a great career opportunity, not simply 'a job’!

A successful candidate will be given support and encouragement to further their career by providing work based training as well as external study leave where necessary.
