Technical Delivery/Installation Manager - EV Charging

My client provides reliable charging solutions for electric vehicles for cities, companies and consumers across Europe. To further expand our operations in the UK we are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to help us deliver charging facilities that can be accessed by all EV drivers; providing a seamless, interoperable charging experience. Our goal is to contribute to zero emission mobility by installing EV charging facilities at the right location with the right solution. The EV market is growing and changing rapidly and myclient is on the road to stay ahead.

A bit more about the job

As Technical Delivery Manager you are responsible for realising end to end technical delivery of Electric Vehicle Charging Installation Projects. Working in conjunction with Third Party Suppliers and Internal specialist teams to deliver Projects that align to Client Requirements and within parameters of the latest regulations. You will represent the company by being the go-to person for all matters relating to field technical delivery and Health & Safety.

In this role you will:

  • Lead Installation projects from Sales handover through to O&M Contract Management
  • Responsible for specific Site Design, Construction, Commissioning day-to-day Field Project Management
  • Responsible for Health & Safety governance and overseeing Projects are operating in line with latest H&S


  • Manages Field Projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on-time, within scope and to the agreed design
  • Review all project documents and information provided by a Client/Sub-Contractor throughout the design process
  • Liaise with Sub-Contractors to get Quotes and optimise spending
  • Managing Sales Orders and updating Internal systems in timely manner
  • Managing and supervising subcontractors' Programme of Works and Scope
  • Ensure appropriate availability and allocation of resources as well as prepare weekly and monthly progress reports both internally and for Clients
  • Responsible for the handover of the Projects upon site Completion/Commissioning to O&M team

To be successful in this exciting new role you will have a proven and successful technical track record in the EV/Renewable sector. An eye for detail, working with third parties to deliver optimum installation projects and overseeing projects to ensure they are delivered on schedule and within scope. On top of that, you have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Fully accredited EV Electrician with previous experience with Domestic and Commercial (3 phase) EV Chargingconstruction environments
  • Experience within Renewable energy installations such as Solar PV, Battery, ASHP (Desirable)
  • Senior Authorised Person (SAP) accreditation (Desirable)
  • Sound Health & Safety knowledge and experience within electrical installation projects (RAMS/ SHEQ/CDM).
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and MS Project
  • Fluency in English - written and verbal is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and Client Management skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven
  • Ability to work under pressure
· Located in UK (Home Based) but expected to travel across UK and Europe as required
  • Full UK driving licence

Education and Professional Qualifications:

  • Fully accredited electrician
  • NVQ Level 3 Design and Verification of Electrical Systems or equivalent
  • Up-to-date with current standards - BS7671 - 18th Edition
  • C&G 2919 - Electric Vehicle Installations
  • C&G 2391 or equivalent (EIC / ECIR)
  • Member of Electrical Engineering Professional Body - CSCS SIB / ECS (Gold Card)
  • Member of an awarding body such as NAPIT, NICEIC, STROMA, ELECSA
  • IOSH Certificate in Health & Safety
