Cedar are supporting a London based public sector organisation in the search for an experienced Part-time Bookkeeper, offering three working days per week.
This is an exciting role for a Bookkeeper who would enjoy the benefits and flexibilities of working in a small, friendly, highly motivated team.
As the Part-time Bookkeeper you will ensure the accounting systems are kept up to date and maintained, specifically the processing of purchase invoices, payments, reconciliation of the bank, creation of sales invoices and the recovery of the debt.
Duties -
Maintain the Xero accounting system through the timely processing of transactions.
Provide the necessary reconciliations of the accounts; Bank, Balance Sheet reconciliations and key income and expense accounts.
Raise sales invoices ensuring VAT compliance
Report outstanding debt
Check and process expense claims
Create payment runs (twice a month), upload payments into the banking systems
Process payroll payments
Perform regular bank reconciliations resolving any outstanding items
Application of credit cards for staff
Skills and Experience -
Track record of bookkeeping
Experience of International payments and the processing of expense
Working with Xero
Understanding and experience of requirements of a global organisation
AAT qualified
Must be highly organised, proactive and a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
