We provide IT and Telecoms services to hundreds of businesses within he North East and Yorkshire.A vacancy has become available to join our finance team as a bookkeeper. You will be working as part of a small team managing the accounts for the Smart IT group of companies.The RoleResponsible for posting all transactions into Quickbooks and Xero Online Accounts softwareCredit Control / Chasing overdue accountsInput Supplier Invoices & CreditsAbility to do monthly bank reconciliationProduction of monthly management information.Monthly payrollSubmit Quarterly VAT returnsOther basic admin dutiesThe PersonGood numerical and verbal reasoningMust be proficient in Quickbooks and/or Xero Online Accounts softwareExceptional organiserAn excellent telephone mannerBe able to take responsibility keeping accounts up-to-dateTeam workerProficient skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointDesirable skillsAAT or similar Bookkeeping QualificationExperience with Xero and/or Quickbooks Online Accounts softwareExperience submitting quarterly VAT returnsThe days/hours can be flexible, we’re happy to work around any other commitments you have, although our opening hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pmPackage DetailsA generous salary of £25,000 - £29,000 (pro-rata)full time or part time availableFlexible working hours29 days paid holiday per year, increasing up to 33 within 5 years (pro-rata)Paid holiday on your BirthdayPaid charity days for volunteeringFree breakfast every dayRegular funded social nights outCycle To Work schemeChildcare Voucher schemeCompany Pension schemeFree parking
