A superb position has come up for a Government Grants Manager to join an established Jewish Charity based in North West London. The role is a senior and crucial position within the organisation where you will be responsible for overseeing, organising and coordinating the work of the Grants team.

Some of the duties will be:

* Reporting, forecasting and budgeting.

* Assess problems and identify innovative solutions and keep management apprised of ongoing problems.

* Allocate the workload appropriately across team members

* Promote cooperation and positive inclusive atmosphere towards common goal

* Motivate and manage team to meet deadlines to the best possible standard

* Deal with difficult situations or complaints from grant locations

* Manage the team in line with the organisation’s HR policies and guide for ongoing training and development

* Schedule and perform monthly catch ups, setting clear objectives and dealing with feedback appropriately. Upload forms onto PeopleHR

* Lead weekly grant meeting and send out minutes

* Drafting template emails for communication

* Perform monthly and quarterly audits for financial variance and governance using Excel and MS Dynamics

* Process payments in Sage and MS Dynamics

* Lead the annual audits to demonstrate compliance and governance

* Record and monitor budget to spend and income and expenditure

* Review Sage bank amendments

* Oversee monthly external audit

* Raise accruals and recognise income in Sage

* Using Excel functions to calculate, manipulate and record data

You will need to following skills:

* Good administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail

* Excellent communication and listening skills

* A creative mind with an ability to propose improvements

* Strong people manager who can lead and inspire a team

* Exceptional problem-solving skills and remains calm under pressure

* Proactive and results orientated with the determination to see projects through from start to finish

* Customer-orientated and understanding of the urgency of replying in a timely fashion

* Reliable and loyal to corporate culture
