A rapidly growing Accountancy Practice are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper. This is a new role brought about by a winning a new client. This role is responsible for one client who has a varied portfolio of businesses.
Reporting to the Director, this role would suit a candidate who can work towards deadlines in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.

Bookkeeper duties

Managing a portfolio of clients on Xero.
Correct treatment of VAT on transactions.
Processing monthly payrolls and posting journals.
Bookkeeping to Trial Balance level.
Preparation of monthly management accounts.
Resolving Bookkeeping queries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Client bookkeeping queries by telephone and email.
Setting up clients on Xero from manual systems and other software.
Bookkeeper person specification
Highly advantageous to have worked within an Accountancy practice previously with demonstrable experience of handling Bookkeeping and various VAT matters.
Experienced using Accountancy software, especially Xero.
Knowledge of Invoice Discounting.
Management of deadlines for all services.
Management of client expectations.
Ability to work under pressure.
Professional communication skills.
