Job Title: Bookkeeper
Salary: £20,000 - £26,000 P/A DOE
Hours - 9am - 5pm Mon - Friday (Flexible working hours available)
Location: Radcliffe, Manchester M26 (Hybrid working model 2 days office bases & 3 days working from home)
Job type: Full time, Permanent.

My client is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full time permanent contract. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a career within Accounts.

Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
Completing VAT returns
Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountants of any errors
Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
Preparing employee wages
Managing employee expense claims
Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.

Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel & Microsoft office)

Experience Required:
Use of bookkeeping Software: Essential
VAT Experience and Filing VAT Returns: Essential
Maintaining a Purchase / Payable ledger, including posting invoices and Receipts: Essential
Maintaining a sales / receivable Ledger, including posting sales invoices and Receipts: Essential.
