Job Description

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Chippenham . As a skilled Bookkeeper your role will be to maintain financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
Key duties and responsibilities..
Posting all sales invoices, including foreign sales
Posting and allocating payments to correct supplier invoices
Setting up supplier payments via online banking
Collating and paying expenses via Concur
Posting import and export duty statements and VAT
Monitoring Container Lists and plotting information in Cashflow Spreadsheet
Raising purchase invoices as required
Reconciling of Petty Cash accounts (including foreign transactions)
Collating and posting all Accruals and Prepayments and maintaining the register of Fixed Assets
Posting all payments into the Daily Cashflow Spreadsheet and updating predicted income updates
Updating the Monthly snapshots records
Reconciling all bank accounts including Stripe, shopify and Paypal/Ebay and foreign currency accounts
Maintaining the Savings Accounts and posting interest journal
Requirements Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Benefits 20 hours per week - flexible on days and start/finish times
£12,000 per year
12.5 days plus bank holiday
