Bookkeeper/ Accounts Assistant
Location: Crawley
Salary: £20,000-£22,000 per annum, DOE
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper / Administrator to join our Crawley office.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic organised person to join our friendly accountancy practice in Crawley.
Training will be given where required but a working knowledge of bookkeeping or an accounting technician qualification to level 3 is required.
Ideal candidate experience requirements:
Bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks preferred but full training will be given
Able to produce up to trial balance from client receipts and records
Understanding of VAT, PAYE, CT600 and/or SA100 tax an advantage
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, SUMIF and Lookups)
Administration of office including client calls and file management
Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
Bookkeeper duties:
Preparation of trial balance from client paper records
Obtain missing information from clients
Reconciliation of Cash at Bank and Petty cash book
General ledger journals
VAT returns /CIS returns
Office administrator duties:
Maintain client records using both paper and digital HMRC archives
Book appointments
Prepare quotes on Ignition software
Payroll administration
Rental property and sole trader tax return preparation
Role and schedule:
Permanent position
37 hours per week
Hours 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
Remote working only available in emergency
