BookkeeperSalary: Up to £30KOur client is an International go-to-market agency that specialises in helping scale up companies expand into new markets. With offices in the UK and Europe offering commercial services from market Discovery and Bootcamps, through to Market Entry Audits, sales acceleration and transitioning services.The RoleThey are seeking a bookkeeper who will be responsible for the day-to-day control of the accounts administration, ensuring accurate and updated information is always available to the management team. You will also undertake other administrative tasks related to the role including calculations of rebates and you will run reports to allow the Operations Manager to calculate end of month commissions etc.ResponsibilitiesAccurately record and process all sales and purchase invoicesAccurate invoice processing and allocation in the systemBank reconciliations of all bank accountsMonth end reconciliations and journalsPreparation of the quarterly VAT returnsPrepare end of month reports and updates for review by the Finance DirectorSupport the finance director through provision of weekly financial reportsSupplier statement reconciliationsMonitor and maintain the sales ledgerCreate checklists for processes and to ensure data integrityCreate commission and rebate reportsPrepare payment runs twice a monthSupport Operations manager with the inputting of orders and ensure the order management system and the accounts system are alignedDevelop end of month reports offering insights and recommendations to improve credit control, cash flow and support company growthSkills and InterestsExcellent organisational skills and proven experienceArticulate and professional mannerProven ability in being responsible and accountableExcellent numerical and written communication skillsKeen eye for attention to detailHigh level of computer proficiency and demonstrable working knowledge of excel, Xero etcThe need to understand financial figures, budgets and calculationsCreative, innovative and willing to contribute ideas and professional opinionPassion and enthusiasmStrong sense of initiative and a “can do” attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSm Recruitment Ltd is an equal opportunities employer.
