Job Description

This Top 100 Accountancy firm are recruiting for a Bookkeeper.

Your duties and responsibilities (not limited to):

• Supporting the accounts team by providing bookkeeping services to their clients

• Reconciliation of bank, cash, credit card and control accounts

• Inputting/ importing sales and purchase invoices

• Ledger Reconciliations

• Supplier statements reconciliations

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

• Dealing with client queries

• Preparation and posting of journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll and depreciation
Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bookkeeping experience

• Dealing with clients face to face

• Experienced in Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger/Nominal Ledger

• Able to take accounts to trial balance stage

• Proficient in Xero, Sage and Quickbooks, Excel

• Knowledge of Receipt Bank/ Hubdoc would be an advantage

• A full UK driving licence is essential

• Be able to communicate concisely with colleagues and clients

• Ability to organise and schedule reminder tasks

• Able to strike the fine balance to retain a professional but determined approach whilst retaining client relationships

• Excellent organisation and time management skills

• Able to work as part of a team, but also able to use own initiative

• Strong interpersonal skills ands able to build client relationships

• Reliable
